The Gap...generations, not the store
Today:
"Hi, this is Risa, The ParTea Planner returning your call."
"Oh hi! Thanks for calling me back, how are you? "
"Well, to be honest I have caught my son's cold so you'll have to excuse the Brenda Vaccaro voice. "
Silence. Obviously the caller doesn't know who she is.
"Sooooo....how can I help you out with your tea party?"

A few months ago when I was planning the Mary Poppins party:
"Good afternoon, XYZ Prop Company. This is Ashley, how may I help you?"
"Hi Ashley, this is The ParTea Planner and I need to rent an ice cream parlor prop that will make the space look like you are in a Farrell's."
Silence.
"Ashley, do you know what Farrell's is?"
"Uhm. Like. No."
Sigh.
Man do I feel old.
P.S. This is the final product of my vision:

Shabby knows. About Farrell's that is! I canNOT believe they are back!! Oh, I hope, I hope we get one too. It isn't just the ice cream...it is the whole 1900's experience with the drum and sparklers...I'm so glad you told us :) Okay what about the Magic Pan restaurants? (Crepes)
Hi Risa,
I posted the other day to enter your blog but I cannot copy the picture to my blog...I'm new to the world of blogging so I don't know how to do those things...thanks for any help!
Renee
LOL! We used to go to Farrell's after the movies when I was in highschool. I can picture the rocky road sundae and hear the big drum beat when we told them it wwas someone's b-day everytime we went!
Omg, I miss Farrells! I remember that when I was little - it was my FAVORITE place to go! And that bday party was to DIE for... so grand!
GASP! It is so pretty! You are such a talented lady with a real vision for what you want!
I LOVE MARY POPPINS!! It's my favorite movie of all time. I think I should have a Mary Poppins party for my 26th, no?
